that's like patching up your boat with duck tape; It works but is impractical. You probably have some seemingly hidden setting set wrong or the scale messed up. tinker with it.

There is NO setting or solution than to make a downscaled version, seriously, you made yourself look really dumb right there. In 3P, the weapon could be downscaled by using the scale setting in the weapon tag, but that only applies to weapons that are not picked up and only 3p models. Just do it the RIGHT way by making a FP and 3P model seperately from each other. It's not a duct-tape solution, it's the only, and correct, solution. Why do you have to bring people down like that beachparty? My solution was to try and find another way, to tinker. how does that make me look "really dumb"? My .22 cal was the same for fp and tp, and it looked just fine. what setting would make his model mess up and mine not?

Beachparty always does that, just ignore that part of his posts. But, what beachparty says is the truth as far as I know. Since you can have a different model for 3rd person and 1st, just do what he says. Even if it is the cheap and easy way, why find a solution that is more complex than it needs to be?
