Making AI have more health doesn't necessarily make them harder enemies. Try combining firing positions with strategically placed AI.

not stronger enemies, stronger allies. My allies stay in one small base throughout, and therefore don't really need to be strategically placed.

Ever thought of making them smarter, by dodging more, diving into cover, and throwing grenades, instead of making them bullet sponges?

Your allies are supposed to help you fight back, not sit there indefinitely, taking thousands of plasma bolts, and not dying.

At the bottom of the 'actor_varient' tag for the AI, there's a section called 'unit' with two fields: 'body vitality' and 'shield vitality'. That's how you change the health and shields. Those override the collision model settings for max. shield and health vitality.
