i am building a simple race track and i need some help, here is a pic:



this is a image of what i want it to look like, i was wondering what would be a good length, width, and height for the box in gmax if in halo the level is supposed to be wide enough for 6 hogs, 1 halo km high, and 2 halo km wide. i was also wondering how you would get a custom bitmap to be on the ground like the finish line. this is a request from a friend so if the image doesnt make sense, it is because it is supposed to tell me what he wants in it. thanks for the help

The worthog's Mesurments in Gmax is: Length=194, width=107, height=98. So just multiply the width times the number of worthogs you wand and add some spacing for them. I do not remember what the conversions are in Gmax to halo CE units. But I would just guestimate using the length of the worthog to setup the length and height of the track.

For the bitmap, I would use paint shop or photo shop to create the tiff file. Then use tool to convert to a bitmap.

i know how to make bitmaps, i was just wondering how to put them on walls and stuff, like the billboard in a10 you see right as you enter the bridge. i used the the billboard tags on this website but it shrinks everything down

The a10 billboard is a scenery piece, which was manually adjusted to look like it was on the wall.

alright, i just need to find out how large 100 halo meters are in gmax is and ill be all set

Well, I can't help you with Halo meters because they don't match up with the English measurements. But, I'll give you the English measurements:

1 Halo Unit = 100 Max/Gmax units

1 Halo Unit = 10 feet

1 foot = 10 Gmax/Max units

Chief = 0.7 Halo Units tall
Chief = 7 feet tall
Chief = 70 Max/Gmax units tall

(By 'Halo Units', I mean the units used for all in-game coordinates that are shown in Sapien and Guerilla.)

What I mean by them 'not matching up' is that these measurements are true. So, you would think Halo meters are the metric conversions of these English measurements, but they're not. They're independent.

thanks, i guessed it myself my taking the length and with of a square map that i made, and multiplying it to match how long i needed
