Open the .weapon in guerrilla
The "rounds total initial" is how much ammo it starts with
And the equipment box at the magazines specifies which weapon equipment it will use, for example if you select assault rifle ammo it will be able to pick that up.

Did you add it as an item collection, or as a .weapon tag? If you're adding it as a .weapon tag, you can specify the amount of starting ammo in the properties pane in Sapien. However, you're supposed to add them in as item collections for Multiplayer. To do that,
1) Open Guerilla 2) File > New > Item Collection 3) Click the Add button 4) Browse to your weapon tag 5) Set spawn time 6) Set weight to 100 7) Save 8) Sapien > Hierarchy View > Mission > Game Data > Netgame Equipment.
Right click in game view to put down a marker. In the properties view, browse to your item collection.
Note: The weapon will not appear in Sapien.
I highly recommend that you don't add .weapon tags into MP maps , as they won't respawn, and they will disappear after some time.

No. It matters. For multiplayer, you're meant to use item collections, so the weapons respawn. If you just use a .weapon tag, it'll disappear after some time.
