Are there any sp maps that provide stats at the end like mp maps do? -Or, sp maps that play like mp maps? a few PC clans would like to devise a way of ranking players on based gameplay, aside from gametracker stats. I thought sp CE maps might be the answer.

If you mean by "SP maps that play like MP maps" as AI placed in MP maps yes. AI DO NOT sync online though, and never will. As for post-game for SP maps, a point system is possible in SP (ex: Gamma's FireFight map).

I did make a SP CTF map, but it didn't really come out perfect, so I threw it out.

I think he means like Halo 3 or something, where it shows how many enemies you've killed.

Quote: --- Original message by: Gamma927 Does a timer count? only insofar as it's related to kills. for that matter i'm really only interested in kill/death ratio. the idea here would be to let each player individually compete against the AI and obtain a score. the map would have to be pretty difficult but not impossible ( i just tried 'nuts' -the doom mod- earlier today...lol) if there aren't any sp's that give a postgame report, how would i go about adding one to a ripped sp map? Takes a lot of scripting. In fact, you'll have to redo the whole thing, to count. I know that Polamee's map counts the number of AI killed. I'm pretty sure he does it by having a bunch of AI encounters, each with one AI. When that AI encounter is killed, he adds one to a variable. If you don't know how to script variables, I made a tutorial for that. This is for intermediate scripting and above. http://hce.halomaps.org/index.cfm?fid=4645At the end of the map, run a HUD message corresponding to the variable. So if the variable was at 100, play the HUD message that says that you killed 100 AI. You can't count your deaths though, because once you die, it gets reset.

maybe not, i just haven't tried scripting anything before so i'll be starting at the beginning. on the bright side it will be something new and, if i have to redo everything anyway, then i'll be able to set things up like i had hoped i'd find here.

Quote: --- Original message by: Gamma927 Cerebrum - Synapse is for Multiplayer, not Singleplayer. exactly. which brings up an issue for accurately ranking players, as we all know, ping can be a huge factor in gameplay. that's why it would be better to use single player. the idea here would be as follows: 1-15 AI that respawn, just like players in mp, each AI operating at different difficulty levels, and score keeping (kill/death) Edited by sleepy1212 on Jul 22, 2009 at 01:17 PM
