Hey guys what would you think of a map that is an area from majora's mask as a map such as: Clock town, Temina field, Great bay, or Ikana, please leave comments.

Sounds pretty promising. Alot of work and modeling to do.

Btw my fav zelda game of all time.

Yeah and I will need help from map makers. Cause I am not one and there are very few people in my league that know how to map make.

I think link looks better in oot though cause in MM he looks more toonish.

i myself like OOT better but what i would like to see is a map based off of oridon village or kakrio village in twilight princess

srry but Majora's mask just didn't fit like the rest of the games.

I don't see why OOT is so popular. IMHO, I think it sucked after a while compared to MM

Anyway, I'm not into this project, but I'll try to model some things for fun

But I will say that Twilight princess beats Majora's mask.

Fine if i have to sink done to the MM level

if your going to try doing anything try making the maskes weapons instead of the biped i know it wont be exactly like LOZ but you can't make it exact becuase its halo and if you put halo weapons in it plz take out the halo one god machine AKA pistol

And guys I am going to need help with this project cause I can't make maps. but I can edit again I reinstalled Halo Editing Kit and that was the answer.

well that would be great if u could be u cant. because everygame doesnt use the same engine (well depending who made the game, the makers could be using the same engine they have used for a previous game. but bungie didnt make zelda). & zelda & halo are two completely different games.

It is possible to rip roms, but not the bsp and such

I have the rom but don't know how to rip anything from them

You can rip bsps from Roms. I had a N64 emulator and just exported the level to .obj. It was ridge racer.

Well guys I don't have the rom and I probably can't because a lot of the roms were taken down by the ESA, and didn't Dennis say we can't talk about or promote pirated software or other things on the fourms?

Well I own the console version of the game on two consoles! The N64 (Nintendo 64) and the GCN (Gamecube)
And by the way the GCN version of Majora's mask isn't as good as the OOT port MM can freeze on the GCN easily.

Those are one of the bugs that Nintendo mentioned when porting. It does it on the Wii version as well I believe.

Anyway im trying to manage to rip the bsp from MM

EDIT: Pics of MM Termina Field ripped (Thanks for Nexus for telling me how to)

It is possible to extract BSP from n64 roms using the 1964 emulator, theres a plugin i cant remember the name that takes a 3d "screenshot" of the area, you know that recent release, The Land of Hyrule, It was made using that, I was the one who extracted some of the models. Which by the way IS legal as long as its not for profit...i think but I'm pretty sure. I'll check back here once I find the name of the plugin.

Exactly, which is what poses a problem, the 3d "screenshot" also takes some characters and unwanted scenery that will lead to modeling and collision errors, you need to be a skilled modeler to be able to fix everything. And unfortunately, I am not a skilled modeler. :( and if you haven't done this sort of thing it could take a long time. It took almost a year to fix all the problems in Hyrule.

dude, I have no effin idea what your talking about... I didnt make the video. I dont make the maps, I tag them, script them and populate them, but I dont model them

Thats good because the plugin also captures textures, only problem is that they are small and the alphas are stored in a different bitmap so it takes a while to fix them all
