The only reason you see SOME Marathon items in the Halo series is because Bungie loves to put in Easter Eggs. What you're saying here is like saying that Halo Wars 2 will be Myth.

if they make a halo 4 their has to be something else other than "The Covenant" or "The Flood".Cause they were defeated in Halo 3...If they made a halo 4 they need something new...or they can just make games of another series...or make halo from the COMPLETE BEGINNING OF HALO.I rest my case.

The Flood was not completely destroyed in Halo 3.

No Army/Colony has been destroyed in halo,only importent Invidials (cant spell) has been killed,For the covenant-they can put a new prophet in charge,for the flood-they make a new gravemind,for the forerunners-a new monitor (:D),And for us,a new jhonson!
Ill say bungie is only making prequels now,and halo will DIE. :(

Flood was greatly crippled in Halo 3 not destroyed..

O.o-o.O In halo 4 their must be lots of weapons and they must all be made using Halo 1 engine Yea! And Master Chief must be made using Sprites ^.^

But all the flood get nice new Halo 4 engine stuff lolz... little sprite MC with crappy Halo 1 modeled weapons fighting off the uber cool looking Halo 4 rendered Flood xDDD

Most of the prophets were either consumed along with High Charity or killed during the Covenant civil war. There are very few left. As for the Covenant itself, they have no ships left. Most of them were destroyed during their civil war, and the rest were destroyed by the Elites at the Ark. They won't be coming back any time soon

There won't be a halo 4 involving master chief it's simple. cause everyone knows and even bungie knows it would be stupid. why you ask? simple yes bungie gets alot of people on multyplayer but not that much on story mode. because everyone and bungie knew that there plots were the same and the story line went down. so why make another game based around the same thing w/ another storyline that isn't that great. bungie is making odst and reach so my geuss is if they do it will be out of our years. unless you plan on playing this gaame untill your 40 be my geust. but i'm just saying everyone knows halo 1 had the best story line and halo 3s sucked. before you say well the multiplayer has alot. they don't make money off that XBL people do. Bungie only makes money off how great the story is. so as you can see Bungie will not be making halo 4.

and then halo 1 happens and so on untill the end of halo 3 wich then goes back to halo 1 wow that must mean chief and cortana is liek infinity years old and there are liek a billion chiefs and cortana has a billion procecors lololol

There could be a Halo 4 because if you remember in the beggining of Halo 2 there was the whole prophet assembly and there were alot of prophets. Most of them probally don't care that arby messed truth up lol, but some of them have got to be angry about how the humans and elites who they think are inferior killed a high ranked prophet. and even though the covenant lost aloy of troops there have still got to be a lot of grunts, drones, and a decent amount of Jackals. Also since Brutes didn't get involved in the war till the end there losses are pretty minimal so the higher ranking brutes could command the cruisers.


Result: Massive war with remaining Elites and Humans( Without MC :c) VS remainder of Covenant = yeah not that good for Humans and Elites

Im playing Halo 4 on my Wii right now.
Nintendo has just bought Bungie in my space-time continuum.
The storyline is the best ever.
The console it's running on is the Wii-Elite.
It has a brain interface , thus allowing the player to experience it in a VR way.
You feel all emotions , except pain.

They could have a hundred billion troops, but it still wouldn't better because they have no ships left.

And most if not all of those prophets are dead.
