Have you ever started thinkin' "Is the Halo story real,goin' to come true,or not?" I mean has there been sign's that at least part of it is true? It's something I've asked my self all the time from the 1st time I played the game. I'm askin' this to see If I'm not alone in this.

Dude People say Somethin' Very bad is gonin' to happen on Dec. 21, 2012. The story from the Halo games and books might come true {or part of it} It's aways one of the many things that can happen.

Well the game is made to seem plausible. All of the technologies mentioned are based on real-world things scientists have been working on. Bungie intertwines the storyline with real history to make it seem like it actually happened, and will happen.

Of course, it's just a story. A video game. Making it seem real makes the game all the more realistic and overall more enjoyable. However many works of science fiction do the same thing. The story of halo is just one of a thousand. And albeit a good one, it's just a story.

The events of halo take place in 2551 (something like that). The only reason people think the world might end in 2012 is because that's when the Mayan calender ends. The only mention of the Mayans in halo (and it may actually be the Aztecs, i forget) is a comparison between the technologically advanced Covenant attempting to exterminate the human race, much like the Spanish explorers. Coincedantally this is justlike my friend alex says, "The only reason the mayan calander ends with 2012 is because they died before they could write 2013."

2012 is a Mayan prediction, but they believed the world came to an end and restarted every Century, which it hasn't. It's bullcrap.

Halo3 uses features found in the real world first, then puts them into the game story to make it seem realistic. Also, Mars is uninhabitable, as well as the other planets in our solar system.

I'm more worried about other things than dumb rumors or astray predictions by a mysterious group of people. People said Y2K was going to kill everyone, but it never did.

In the halo Universe Mars (and several other planets, none of which within our solarsystem) is teraformed. Teraforming is the process of changing a planet to make it hospitable. Mars is actually quite like Earth, but it's far to cold because it lacks a sizeable atmosphere. There have been real plans to send machines to mars that cause the greenhouse effect and gradually warm and thicken the atmosphere. Soon, NASA could send small plants and algae to do the job. Then larger plants, then trees. Over a course of a few hundred years, mars could become hospitable for human life.



Possibly, but probably not. Afterall, anything is possible, but extremely inpobable. Let's say the covenant did stumble upon us 500 years early. Here at our only planet earth. We still lack the technology the humans had at their desposal in 2521. No Fusion engines, no MAC's, no mastercheif.

as for the Story Halo being real, i highly doubt that, it's just a game, perhaps there will be overly huge space ships one day, but defiantly not during your life time...

I disagree , anything is possible , those who just refuse to think about possibilities are being narrowminded.
