Why not? Microsoft does owns all Halo, Windows, and Xbox 360, so they do have the power to enable that.

But Microsoft isn't doing this. Bungie is.

ODST is done. It just takes time to mass produce things.

Bungie has procuded REAL halo weapons,And they are going to get over the world with that,people who have the cd key will not die.

Go talk to some Bungie employees they'll tell you whats instore for the halo CE update. just go to their site and pm a worker.

How do you know they will tell you?maybe a small group is working on the update/if they didnt told us what its gonna be in the podcast,why do you think they will tell you personal?

Some of you guys need to really get into a reality check with the world.

Your speculations are downright ridiculous for many of you.

A. The economy is bad right now, but there is no reason to think it's just gonna crash like in 1930.

B. Upgrade Halo CE / PC? Hasn't it already been stated that it will NOT happen?

C. Syncing AI, graphic upgrades. No.

Get real people. It's probably some Halo 3 ODST thing if anything. I doubt Halo CE will change at all. Bungie has no use for PC, it lost money years ago. So they'll use Halo 3 and ODST instead of using a 8 year old game.

I found out every time people state something "real" like O.o it for microsoft points or Oh! it just a reach beta number.... bungie or any other gaming company like blizzard comes out with some new thing that makes you go WOW!!

Like for example everyone said halo pc was dead no more updates... and Bungie lets one of their employees make 1.08 patch, yes Bungie still has to approve the idea for the employee to even make the patch, and even then I think Microsoft has to approve it too. So that was a big WOW! for everyone still playing Halo pc

For almost 5 or so Years people who played Diablo 2 decided to take Diablo 2 as the last in the series as all the prime evils where dead and it been like 4 to 5 years since any news on Diablo and then out of no where Daiblo 3!!! like WOW =)

Then with Blizzard again... everyone thought Starcraft ghost was gona be Starcraft sequal come to find out BAM STARCRAFT 2 =)

so as example for these two companies go ... as well as other companies it seems gaming industries like to surprise more than let down. I'm pretty sure there could be someone in these forums who works for Bungie he just doesn't tell anyone.... besides I pretty sure all the workers at Bungie are very happy about Halo 1 and how much people enjoyed it for so long.

Whatever it is it's gonna be important because if you listen to the webcast Luke walks in and when he mentions the part about keeping the Halo PC key tries to stop him but it's too late we already heard him lol.

Maybe they just did that to make you think it was important.

the reason y they said it would never happen is simple only one guy at bungie stayed with PC and CE so there fore they thought it would phail if one guy was working on it. but a whole year to work on an update. somthing big is going to happen.

It's probably a minor update. Get over it already.

I mean he CD key it might just unlock some long hidden code in Halo even we havnt found yet. OR more predictably it might just unlock some special goody in upcoming bungie games like in BF BC where you had to have every single god forsaken battlefield CD code to get this special assualt rifle.I mean Bungie is expectng the community to be hit with some sort of blow with this.

Meh I don't know what they are going to do.... but it can't be to special... I mean it's Halo CE..... it's old. They aren't going to do something major to a... what 5 year old game?
