Here is some stuff I've been doing in my spare time. Worked on this in the morning.



Got Gmax to work again. Getting the Flood to look better in-game. WIP.


Yeah, deal with it.

And then there is some non-visual stuff in the works too that I'm not ready to share yet, but will definitely soon. I have good old Gmax back and I'm ready to make some more thoughtful maps.

-Ghost/Banshee Firing alternative bolts.
-Elite and Jackals using two hands.
-Hunter Ultras.

Eveyrhting is coming to a close. With this update, go to sleep and blahblahblah.

It didn't work.


And I like that flood elite. Make sure the armor gets some good textures.

Rainy, can I use that banner. It would work 1,000,000,000x better than one made by me. How close is your HUD to completion?

I'll try and get a good texture for that Elite Flood. I'm using a quirky version of a GBX importer that screws with the importing of Materials and makes things difficult to manage. I'll try and fix it in a minute.

Well with that model I've hit a roadblock. I can't rig it properly, I get an error. If anyone is a good rigger, please tell me.

You should have just imported with weights, and then linked the elite armor geometry to there corresponding bones.

I've found some other HUDs, but they are either replicas or something I'm not interested in.

I won't be doing it to Human Flood mainly because I dislike the human flood to a high level of degree. It looks like a mummy and is honestly obnoxious, not to mention I haven't even finished the Elite yet. I have no clue if it looks good in-game or not due to no collision model.

flood model has been done that way before, by lots of people, including me, but you're gonna get stopped by the fact it wont fit the current collision model, and your idea will fall of the cliff it's walking on.

i dont see this happen, because you cant even rig it, let alone make it function properly.

no offense, i just see too much people fail the same idea, this is not any different.

Uhhh, it's rigged. I just haven't seen it in-game yet. Anyone know a collision model tut?

If it's released, then it will be with the mod, which is completely open sourced I believe (or maybe not depending on second run-throughs).

I currently need to fix a few errors on the model itself, with a weird error linked to part of the bip01 pelvis (marker/bone). If anyone can help me take care of this fast, then that'd be much appreciated.

It's nice to hear that this campagin is almost done, i remember you saying that you were using the icee's ma5gl insteed of the assault rifle so is there a chance that during the campain the marines could accidenly kill the player due to the grenade attachment like in spv1?

also what kind of character set are you using?

The Ma5dgl is limitedly used by Marines. You'll see the Ma5k used a TON, but only the ARGL when the time calls for it, mainly for reinforcements and some firing groups. I've been working on ways to make it so that the AI won't kill you, but the ODSTs (who are the ones who use it) get gungho and destroy you on accident. Same with the rocket Warthog.

I'm using HDoan's Elites and ODSTs and DMT's Grunts and Jackals. The Hunters are the same looking and you've seen my progress on the Flood. If anyone would like to donate anything, the offer still stands like it did in the beginning.
