I was wondering.. how would I make a device that dispensed.. ammo or weapons ect? Like when you hold E to touch device, a visible weapon/equipment/ammo pack came out? can someone please tell me how to make one of these, and how to make it so you can activate it more than once.

Just replace the healthpack equipment in the effect with something else.

At the bottom of the device_control tag under 'DEVICE', you'll see a bunch of tag references next to drop-down boxes that by default say 'effect'. These either create effects or sounds based on certain actions of the control.

The ones you're looking for are the ones that say 'opened' and 'closed'. These are for when the control is toggled on or off. Since you want to be able to re-use it, you want to use both so that every time you hit 'E' the dispenser will work.

So, what you need to do is make an effect tag that spawns as many equipment or weapon tags as you want, and then refer to that effect tag in the 'opened' and 'closed' fields.

Although, I'm not sure if the 'opened' and 'closed' effects are spawned only when the control has finished opening or closing, or if they're spawned continuously as long as the control is opened or closed...

on the map err tbcl bloodislands or somthing like that it has a plasma pistol that shoots out heath packs

Isn't what you want also a simple effect edit? You're changing the invisible health pack dispensed with another one that you want.

lol i have a twist on that, a while back i made a stupid mod that replaced the grenades that i had made overpowered with the helath pack models....(dont ask i was bored), it was funny with ppl going for them(the ones that had my maps), is there a way to make it so that when person "touches" or "pickups" said item, it goes boom? or kills em?

but what i eman is how can i amke it so i can trow a medkit(say using a gun or w./e) that will stay there until someone comes along and picks it up? would setigns something for its health giving powers to a - number kill them?
