Hello all, it has been a while since i have posted but i got a laptop recently (last christmas). well i installed CE and the CMT campaign and the CMT UI, well now when i start the campaign it freezes before the opening movie for the first level begins. is there something wrong with the UI or campaign? my laptop has better graphics then my desktop, I am also running Vista; will any of this affect it?

So a10.map, a30.map, etc. are in the maps folder? Try downloading Renamon's a10 to see if it works.

I am downloading it now, I would think it would have been the laptop or something because a10 worked last time. Ok well I am gonna try it now, I will update with results. EDIT: No go, still the same problem

Yeah, I had the same problem, too. It's probably your UI, because when I removed my old UI, the campaign worked. I think this wasn't it, though. Maybe I just waited until it worked.

lol well it had the same problem with 2 ui. Is it that they support campaign? If so is there anyway to get them to work (in order)? EDIT: I just tried another UI- no dice my halo ce stops responding after it has the picture of the ring after you choose what level you want to do, will this explain anything?

From Dennis's wonderful FAQ:

Quote: 1) Run from the Console.

To run these levels from the console you first need to have your console enabled. see this article for details on changing your start up Icon to enable the console.

Start Halo CE

When you get to screen where you select the "Multiplayer" selection option hit your Tilde [~] Key to bring up the console

In the game console type: map_name {name of map} then hit return. Example to run the desertplat.map level type "map_name desertplat" or to run the Halo Level "map_name a30"

Try that method.

The bitmaps, sounds, and loc maps are all in the map folder too, right?

Yes they are, but in console don't i have to use the console for every map? UGh, will get aggravating but if i can't get it to work I'll use it.

is the font the normal halo font? if not, its CMTs. If so, then delete the original a10 and put the CMT one in instead.

The font is the same, and there weren't any SP maps in the folder when you install halo ce man, I just copy and pasted all of cmt's SP maps

if you dont have the original maps, then the original maps cant be playing. Are you sure its not CMT? just play it for a bit. Or you could be playing halo instead of halo CE by accident.

Halo isn't installed, i played through the whole a10 map and the only difference was that the health packs were on the ground below the wall that they should be on, I dunno if that is significant XD

The thread wasn't failed. He had a problem, and he resolved it. GTFO if you're just going to spam up a fulfilled thread.

Yeah, common petty mistakes don't make a thread worthy of a Fail stamp. Everyone makes mistakes.

don't make a thread worthy of a Fail stamp.

If I see another one of those mean and childish "fail" images I swear I will go on a deleting and banning spree. They are not funny, show how insensitive the poster is and generally an indication of a stunted vocabulary and small mind. It shows that that you can’t verbalize your objection. You are not obligated to post in response to every thread. If you cannot contribute to the conversation (agree or disagree with full sentences) then remain silent. Posting a "Fail" image is not a contribution.

Essentially for those small minded people who feel compelled to post those images or use that term: don’t bother posting at all.

I don't usually post unless I have something to contribute, and I only post the Fail stamp in spam threads that are going to be locked anyway.
