I want to export an EVA variant of the Spartan armor in the halo 3 Spartan release package. I have the files but when I import as obj and 3ds it is very small and there is green coloring too it which isn't part of the texture. Is this the right way? And how would I get the full body, markers,and nodes from the regular mark VI armor and combine it with only the EVA chest, shoulders, and head. Use GBX model importer. Convert units. Don't use crappy ripped Spartans.

Yeah but it would still need to be rigged and where would I get the rest of the body. I'm only talking about the EVA shoulders, chest, and head. I still would need the rest of the regular Spartan body. Also, when opening the max files that came with all of them, it says "Unknown class, no stand-in : superID =0xB60, classID=(0x4A0c66E1,0x1513165)" and then says missing dll's bitmapproxies.dlu, ctrl.dlc, and built-in, what ever that is. Edited by lordofblake on Jun 20, 2009 at 01:16 PM It would help if you could make your post less chaotic you don't have the rest of the body? i thought you had the model files, thats what you said and yes, ofcourse it needs to be rigged, if you want to use the mark vi you got from... idk... i guess your post means you have a mark 6 biped... you can import it as rigged model, just delete the mark 6 stuff, and add the eva stuff on it, then add a skin modifier and rig it and the 'green stuff' means you have to add a texture to it, doi xD im starting to wonder if you've had some experience with modelling programs or just had set the bar too high...
