As for your answer, the amount of damage done to the vehicle riders is in the ".vehicle" tag. Look for the $$$UNIT$$$ section. Under the 'flags' is a field called "rider damage fraction". '0' is no damage to the riders, '1' is full damage. You can set it in between.

I have set the rider damage fraction to 0.01, but still get killed too quickly...any thoughts?

Setting the rider damage fraction to any number doesn't seem to have any effect.

Just jets shooting at jets. After being hit by machine gun fire, I am dead very quickly, and vice versa. I shoot at the attacking jet, and they are dead way too fast.

Open the projectile. Scroll down to the detonation effect. Open that up. Find the damage affect attached to it. Open that up. Scroll down, and change some stuff.

I had found it right after my last post...it was a warthog chaingun bullet file. I renamed it bullet_reduced and reset its bounds for 16 to 24 all the way down to 1 to 2. Still quickly damages your jet, but at a much slower rate. I may make it something like 0.5 to 1 and see if that works better. I want it to be able to take you out, but rather the deathnail be the air to air missle.

just give the hull the material of hunter shield, and give it a energy shield with the properties of jackal shield, etc.
