alpha channels. i was actually thinking about doing this a while back. you need to set up a ton of alpha splotches on it so as the damage goes up, more of it appears. its like a REALLY complicated meter

Yes it's possible, and i've done it, several times, even Released it.

But heck, noone cares about what I release, they just ignore it and ask for what's already there.



The red area slowly appears the lower your health is, you got the idea from GOW, I got the idea from CoD 4 about 5 months ago, so there you go, proof it's possible.

When you pick up a health pack, it dissapears again.

It's all in the HUD, alpha channel. old news, for me, but nobody cares what i say =/

If you want a variant for "when you get hit" yes also possible, same method

I could help you make one, you've seen I did it before, even released it, I've been interested in GOW for some time but never bothered downloading GOW, it's really big.

as for the main menu, it actually looks possible to me, but then again, i would rip it from GOW if it wasn't about 5 gb to download =/ wanna provide me stuff? =P

I wonder if you could get the blood splatters on your screen too.

Can do, did it too, Caboose suggested that for our new project Halo: Airborne.

We've made a system where we also use a syringe to heal up, and then the animation "whipes" off the blood from the screen.

It's possible, and i'm almost done with it, but it's not gonna be released though, just in protected maps

Like in Republic Commando where the visor cleans itself, or does the biped wipe it off with its hand?

During the animation, the blood will be converted to a model instead of a bitmap through a few scripts to make it possible, to keep it simple, i just whipe it off with my hand during the animation.

Masters has been pretty generous to me in the past with old cmt stuff, so I wouldn't see why he would with other people if there not going to really use it anymore. (ex: cmt tensity sky for fracture)
