Hi. I am new to forums. I started learning how to create custom maps for ce roughly 6 months ago. I have been visiting for the last 6 months and have obtained the information I seek everytime,, always an answere that points you in the right direction or problem solved right there. Just wanted to officially say THANK YOU ALL!!
With all the tutorials, custom tags, hek and refrences to all the info you need,, you make it possible. ce published my first map a ccouple months ago xsnoderv2 and xsnoderv3 some weeks after. xsnoderv3 revised is the final (learning scripting this makes life much easier) but still very much a novice and many questions. one of those questions is I need someone with experience to give me some feedback on where to group and hide your respawn trigger volume for vehicles. my last map i put buildings ect around the trigger itself kinda of making a inadvertante sniper outpost so vehicles won't drive into it and tele themselves back to there original spawn area. it compiles just fine ,,runs game just fine honestly no real troubles other than a quick blip of a pelican at the trigger area during a respawn, still would like other ideas on this..it can be a pain trying to reinvent or relocate your map layout because of that trigger location. agian thanks

you could make a small box off the map for things like respawning in trigger volumes, scripting devices such as bipeds and vehicles, and other such things.

Create a boolean. Then create a vehicle (using object_create, and not by adding it to your globals). Set the boolean to true once the vehicle moves through the trigger volume, and set the teleporting script to not teleport the vehicle if the boolean is true. Using a respawn script, set the boolean back to false once the vehicle is respawned.
