For making a biped with regions, whould you rig it with the skin modifier and then detach the parts, or detach them and then rig each one?
Also how do you make it so it is a region? Do you just name it? Or is there something else?

You dont detach to make regions. You name the faces on the objects the regions. You rig it all together in 1 object since its a biped. And so that you dont see any open edges ingame.
