Hi! I just registered today, but I've been with CE since 2007. My friend referred me to this place and said it's a great community. I've also been using the HEK for about 3 months now in my spare time. I've made a BG mod (but I won't upload it) and now I'm trying to make a SP map. But I don't know which BSP to use?

Can anyone help me to choose one? Preferably one with a lot of action? I don't want my first SP to be a fail, that's for sure.

It depends on what kind of map you want it to be, like indoors, outdoors, or in a ship. I've added you on xfire, and I can help you in whatever you need help in.

That's a good BSP. I'd change the sky to make it more darker and add some rain too probably.

Any others? And when I said my modeling was bad because I'm 12, I was trying to say that I don't understand some of the functions in GMax / 3ds.

A lot of people don't, me included. Like Recycle Bin said, you only use about 1/4 of the tools.

Being 12 is no exscuse, I started modeling my half of my decnt models when I was 12, all it takes is a little time to learn some if the standard things of 3ds max. You'll develop a understanding of how most stuff works in it after a while.

yeah what he said but make a surprise like idk umm flood randomly show up when u find a tunnel in the mountian but its empty for the first few floors down until... u find covenant fightin flood and u have to escape but then the pelican was crashed due to the outbreak of flood so ur only hope is ummmm... well sum1 help me what will cheif's only hope be?

Ok, I got the BSP picked, and it's ratrace. I haven't seen too much mods of that, so I think it's a good choice.

Also, my mic kinda like ... makes my voice sound, idk, gay IMO. Ignore it if you want.

There's a very good reason there aren't many mods of ratrace.

Gamma said he cannabalized parts from everywhere, so it's not entirely his.

Ratass is a bad map to do a SP on. Get a different map, prefably a custom one. By the way, I've been working on a map named Essence too.

Dont be to harsh on him , it's his first attempt. But if i were him, i'd probably have asked a friend to crit it , instead of strangers on a Halo Forum who are going to go : " Give up HEK , you will never get the hang of it. You suck. ".

Works fine on my end. I'm sending him a new HUD anyway.

It looks nice, needs more cinematic's and Laptop Gun.
