It is, but they have low shielding and more health(Bungie wanted to focus more on UNSC weapons?), and the structure is different since their armor goes with their shields, so although they have the same tech, they still are different.

What about us, why do we use electronic firing and percussion caps when they're both different things? Same thing goes with the Covenant. The Elite and Brute physical anatomy is different, as well as their combat tactics, and many other factors, so even if they use the same technology, they would obviously use different types of shields.

So in short, they use the same technology, but the shields are different. Have I made my point?

Agreed completely, and a good analogy for an extra.
Anyway, if CMT isn't going to add new weapons, they should at least make the existing ones in the map look better.

Yeah just found this and wanted to post it, I feel kinda bad I didn't find it sooner cause they could have tried to use it in SPV2. Oh well but anyway its a pic of covenant dropship from halo wars I think, either way it looks badass.

It looks overdone. And CMT is going to get the model from Blur Studios/Creator.
Also that thing is heavily high poly, and would be no use to lower the poly count.

Yeah I agree that it would be very high poly but I don't think CMT would have to use an exact replica. I just like the front of the dropship, the extra detail in the inside area on the front, and the fact that its not completly flat it has some curves to it. Also I do think that the banshees in that picture look pretty good as well and those are very subtle changes that CMT could do to make the banshee look better. For example the extra lights on the side and the different style to the pods on the end of the banshees wings.

Okay yeah putting that epic bump aside. I wanted to ask if it would be possible to rip achievments and medals from Halo 2 to put in Halo CE multiplayer maps so that we could get some good achievments and medals instead of just. (double kill, triple kill, etc).

I thought Halo doesn't support that, and can't tell how you kill and how many consecutive kills there are. It'd still be nice, though.

If you enable logging in the Halo CE server you can extract that information from the logs.

It logs the time when they occured so it can't be hard to calculate the time between.
