Ya Dennis already explained what the difference in versions was. But I didnt really get it. Something about buffer overflow. My real question is what is the difference between versions of Halo CE and what does it have to do with Pirates? And second what is OS/ Open sauce.

Many people who pirate Halo, get Halo CE version 1.00 (non-updated Halo CE). They have security problems that people can use to crash their servers. Although most dedicated servers on 1.00 have the exploit fixed. 1.07 was the version before 1.08 and many people use that and version changer to use old Halo CE apps. Open sauce lets you do more in maps, like multi-team vehicles and stuff. I'm pretty sure SPV2 is going to be using it.

I think they maybe will use it..Then if they dont so be it..I dont care if the pirates get it or not..

It's not about the pirates not being able to use it, that's just a bonus. The main reason everyone wants cmt to use open sauce is to make the mod better, and for the community to benefit from kornman's update to the sdk.

Yeah that too..Its a shame that they need to cut so much content out..if there is no cutscenes the mod seems pointless..And so CMT lost their shine...

I hope they use it, it would make the 1.08 community bigger and many people could start making maps that use open sauce, since many people will have the dll from SPV2.

You create new tag templates in C++. Open Sauce compiles them to be able to be used as tags I think.

Even though the debate is over, I just want to say that we would NOT be using OS to add more content. It would have been simply to make it easier to distribute and work on.

Only 2 cutscenes were removed, the section in the hanger bay of POA, which even with OS we wouldn't be able to restore, and the legendary ending, which most of the team thinks is lame and it isn't even cannon.

And as far as cut content, you're not even going to notice the things removed. They are so minor and trivial it's nothing to be worried over.

As i said in my first post it doesnt make a difference..Its just a shame that the work that was cut out didnt get a use.

Well nothing we worked on has been cut out of the mod for space reasons. It's all there, although some things might be less frequent.
