I was wondering if it's possible to write a script to detect when an event happens (Betrayal, Game Enter, Game Leave, etc), and play a sound when that event happens. I was going to ask Gamma but he scares me.

Whut...?
As for those sounds, like the betrayal sound, the sound is usually defined in the globals.globals tag.

Yes, but is there a globals option for it?
Either way, its not scripted. And why does Gamma scare you? 0_o Edited by Polamee on May 9, 2009 at 11:01 AM

My tank isn't that scary... Anyway, in the globals.globals tag, scroll down to where all the weapons are defined. Near that area, there should be a place for sounds.

The difference being that I'm the wall of text guy, and he's the concise guy. I just like to explain things thoroughly. I still help out regularly, but not as frequently as I used to. My fuel rod grunty and I have given answers to hundreds. And the grunt and I have learned a lot of things from others, too. But, I still jump in when further answers or explanation are needed though ;). As for your question, I'm pretty sure there aren't any sounds in the globals for betrayals or joining and quitting. And there's no way to detect those events through scripts to play a sound either. I don't think it's possible. Edited by Me KS on May 9, 2009 at 09:38 PM

Couldn't you detect when the player number 0-12 had this much health an- oh wai, then it would play when the player dies.

Edited by Me KS on May 9, 2009 at 09:38 PM Well, I usually fear people that have respect from other people, I don't want to get flamed cause I bothered someone. (I like walls of text though, good reads.) Maybe if the server was SAPPed/Abyll'd, a code in there could activate the sound when a tk happens?

Yeah, the same way how sapp.dll detects that a player tked and bans him. So.... go>> modacity and post anyone?
