2) Open your unicode_string_list 3) Edit to your heart's content 4) Save |

I compile and it says " loc: Tried to add item ui\hud\HUD_item_messages with different size (3612) than expected (3636)

dont worry about that. Tools just saying that the hud_item_messages are different file size than the origonal one that it wouldv'e expected. If it still Successfully Compiles. Then there no worry.

It doesn't work. I added a item that says "Picked up a SMG" and it says "picked up a assault rifle" still.

Open up the weapon tag. Scroll down to $$$ITEM$$$, and set the message index to the number corresponding to your entry in the string list.
