I am making a map and I really need to know how to protect a single tag in a map without protecting the whole map. It is also known as a encryption. I know you either use a hex editor or notepad. Please tell me how to protect the tag and find it in the data/hex/text. thanks

Protect it, but then put in the leave unprotected everything but that tag.

Look for Tag ID or Tag class. Find the tag properties to find the class. Figure out how to find the ID. Go to "protect map" and click on the area that says "leave unprotected." You'll fill the class/ID there.
