Would Tom Sawyer by Rush or the 28 Weeks Later Theme be good music/songs for it?

Yes for the trial/un-registered version. You can only capture 30 seconds per session of recording with the un-registered version of it. It is free and lasts forever with the un-registered version.

Or you can use xfire's video recording. I prefer the registered version of fraps, but if you're going for free, then go for xfire.

FPS = Frames per second. It defines how smoothly the game runs. And how would Xfire crash someone's PC? Ask their technical support to either fix it, or sue them for all the money your computer is worth. Times ten

Hope you realize that getting a capture card would've cost more than a registered version of Fraps. Just get Fraps.
Also: FPS = Frames per second, First Person shooter, etc.
Oh, and XFire doesn't crash PC's. In other words, "blame the player, not the game." Your friend probably did something stupid.

I think it's $37. You could probably work for your dad and earn money to pay for it if he says $37 is too much.

Personally, I shelled out the cash for Fraps, admittedly I have an actual job though, and love having it to work with. That being said you also have x-fire and game cam that are both free. Game cam actually requires you to learn how to use, but also looked to have a decent amount of features last I checked. That being said, Fraps is easy as all get to install, run, and export video from.
