Hey, haven't posted in a while. Probably shouldn't or else I wouldn't come up with these stupid ideas. Anyhow, has anyone ever thought of a Nazi Zombies gametype? Like Humans vs. Flood, and after so many rounds are completed, a room opens (Door Dissapears), and there is no money, OR, you could make it so after every certain amount of zombies you kill, a door opens.

This should be single player since AI Bots do not sync, the last I heard.

System:
-When a door opens, there are more ways the flood can get in, making it harder.
-Every room has a new weapon.
-There are 8 rooms to control, choose them wisely!

Rounds:
-Every room you open is a new round. After all the rooms are open, there is no more counting, it just gets harder and harder.

Vehicles/Mounted Guns
-There should be only one room that has a Mounted Gun, preferably a Machine Gun.

Weapons
-Weapons should be balanced due to the amount of flood that enter the building.

Room 1:
-Assault Rifle and Plasma Rifle
Room 2:
-Pistol
Room 3:
-Shotgun with little ammo
Room 4:
-Shotgun ammo, Needler
Room 5:
-Flamethrower and Pistol Ammo
Room 6:
-Sniper Rifle (Enhanced) and Pistol Ammo
Room 7:
-Shotgun Ammo and Light MG (Modeled of course)
Room 8 (Final):
-Rocket Launcher, Shotgun, Flamethrower ammo

If you would like to add any ideas, I would gladly start working on this project. I have NOTHING so far, this is just an idea.

Scripts needed to play:
-AI Spawning script that allows another AI to spawn after one is killed.
-Kill counter, which counts kills in the map, in order to unlock the doors.
-Door script, so that after a certain amount of zombies you kill, a door opens.
-Door, DOOR, script. This makes more entrances for the zombies to come into the building/facility, after you unlock another room.
-Pickups, kind of like bombs in "Nazi Zombies" which kills all flood on the map for a certain amount of time. No points are counted towards it. Plus, a MaxAmmo script so you can fill your weapons up, only in certain rooms. These will be replaced with the "Overshield and Active Camo". (Double points are unnecessary)


What do you guys think so far? I mean, it seems pretty logical, and knowing the game engine, this is possible. If you would like to add ANYTHING, such as Ideas, or fixing a minor mistake of mine from the game engine, please do so!

You dont need a script to spawn another AI. You could just give them respawn statistics.

I also want to add another question. Is it possible to make one certain Bot drop something, lets say... a powerup?

The point of Nazi Zombies is too work together to kill them mostly....

Also, mystery box? Rebuilding windows? Uhh, and last but not least, a points system? Best to leave this out of Halo CE. :|

No, the point of Nazi Zombies is to see how long you will last either alone, or with players. Eventually, you are going to die, unless you have played it since time began.

-Mystery box isn't needed since the weapons are in different rooms.

-Rebuilding Windows? Why would you need that? The point of the CE version is to unlock doors and make it harder, thus making more entrances for them to get in. Therefore, making it harder to push back to get ammunition, but I don't want to make it impossible.

-Points go towards new doors/rooms being unlocked. Like you were saying on Xfire:

DZ: You should have like a point system
DZ: somehow
DZ: using variables and possibly using the HUD timer to display them,

There is really no need to make something that we don't know for sure will work, unless someone else wants to try it.

Besides that, I have no reason to see why this won't work. Just brainstorming here ;)

Another thing I thought of, since I was thinking this would be a good SP Map, when you reach a certain room, you get another partner. (Marine, ODST, etc) with different weapons. They are pretty much locked in those rooms until you have killed enough zombies to rescue them. These Marines will be smart, but not invincible. After your partner is killed, they will respawn after you unlock another door. When they respawn, they will come to you, and follow you. This will lift the gameplay a little

Too bad I'm banned from Modacity, it would have been nice to know that.

Anyways, here is a concept I made for a test map. Just to see 2 things.

1. How the AI would react to locked, or blocked Windows.

2. How the doors would work when you unlock the next room.

I suggest that you do Nazi zombies with other players rather than AI's

Picture it online:

everyone, but maybe two people start out as humans.

The rest have the ability to charge into the windows, go through a brick wall, or maybe attack from underground (sewers)

then as each human is taken down, they go blue, similar to zombies, but your in a backed up room, and didn't CAD make a mystery box?

hey ive got the same idea....

i was playing my old games and i found time splitters2 and there was a minigame when you kill hoards of zombies in a room.... and i though ... that would be awesome in halo haha... you bassically got my idea

here´s mine:

you start on the center whit a shotgun .. the map will be a square and there´ll be 4 spots where the flood will spawn... hoards of floods will be sent ... every one after you kill the last flood... ammo will appear every minute or idk maybe every hoard you take

and everytime the hoards will be harder ... that would be awesome

hope this.. can be done or something i would enjoy one of those single maps (:

funny thing is, CAD actually did all of this. literally, he actually made rebuildable windows and random weapon boxes that work off of a point system.

I believe CAD used variables to check the amount of score you had, and he set the timer to the amount specified by the variable. You can set it so that when you kill a biped attached to an AI encounter, or an AI encounter itself, the variable increases, but then the scripting would be tedious.

Scripts cannot be "hacked off of". They are lines of code that "script" certain events to occur. AI syncing is something that the engine itself handles, and you can't change this with just scripts. And isn't Co-op for Xbox just split screen?

That doesn't mean its internet, that means the player 1 is hosting a LAN game for 2 players. Unfortunatly, there is no way in HCE to get AI to sync. Unless, you make a script where it updates cords, such as objects, vehicles, weapons, etc.

i will think in a name that fits awesome :D .. halo zombies just suck lol

edit: i think that the idea oppening doors is not that cool... i rather go of staying in the same place.. its just my oppinion haha.

Another thing I thought of, just recently in the past 5 secs, and I have to type this or I will forget...

What do you guys think about activated doors? Like in SP, and this is an SP map, Doors will Sync, however, we would need to make a point system to limit how many doors you can open with a certain amount of points.

Ex. (First Door)
-You want to open the door, and it costs $1200.
-Each flood you killed was 200, so those points could rack up quick.
-You go up to the door, and press a button to open it, and you lost cash.

1) Sleep until you have enough money
2) Sleep until you hit a device_control (probably right in front of the door)
3) Subtract money
4) Unlock door

Ah, didn't see that thar.

Also, I don't know if we should make weapons from WaW. Even if someone made a sweet raygun, I would be facepalming @ it in halo's engine. I think the other guns would be tackey as well, and if we wanted to make the guns then we'd to make sights to look down. The only time I saw someone try that it turned into a disaster IMO.

what about every door you open will have a better weaponry or something .

I agree. Classic set would be nice in maps.

E: You can make the maps however you want, I wasn't asking people to use mine, but by all means, go ahead! Saves me some time!

I have to restart the map, since Vista just suddenly stopped working after an update. [Currently using Windows 7 Beta :D]
