Im new at map editing

Ok every time i play halo the quality is very bad
example:
a grenade doesnt show any smoke after exploding
can anyone help.
And where do i make a scripts folder thing cuz i really want to make a player varient in map.

@ first problem.

Turn on decals

@ second question.

You must create the scripts folder in your level directory. If you're creating a mod of blood gulch, then create the scripts folder inside data\levels\test\bloodgulch. You shouldn't attempt doing this UNLESS YOU KNOW HOW TO SCRIPT.

What is your GFX card? And it would be particles not decals.

i dare betting that the gfx card is so old that it's running in FF mode (fixed function) the best you could do is buy a new card, but if you can't do that, use some tweaks to force enable it, either by editing the game files (i might have leftovers from when i did it at friends) or just using a gfx card emulator, yes even those are out there lol, use 3danalyzer to emulate a newer card with pixel shader 3 or whatever you need for it
