I really really want to know how to make great AI maps like bg1 did. His maps are amazing :). I need someone to teach me how to make great ai maps and teach me about placement ( I know how to spawn ai and make them respawn i just need to know how to make great ai and great ai maps.) Please someone teach me/tutor me. I also need to know how long it usually should take to fix a tag.

If you know how to add AI, and also make them respawn, then you know the technicalities of AI maps. All you need now is your imagination (I know this sounds corny)

it took me 3 tutorials i found on halomaps just to learn basic ai stuff you'll get there eventually just search ai tutorials or something

You just need to get the hang of it :P
Also its important to know the basic stuff... like extracting Actor_varients, and all stuff attached to it.
Once you got all stuff you want, you might first check a few maps.. Then think where its possible to place AI, And if it would be fun.
Most of the time you will most likely encounter a problem... Then just post the error\Issue at Technical map design (or whatever) and you will almost always get an answer. This answers mostly bring you knowledge for new ideas :)
One last thing; Can you work with guerilla? because then you will be able to use Campaign maps, once its cleaned, wich are the best maps for AI, because they are very large.

Anyway, to create an AI map, usually people like:
-Good encounters -AI which are 'smarter' in a sense that they do a lot of stuff standard AI can't (get into vehicles, throw nades etc) -Balanced encounters -Exciting battles
Anyway, SP is better, since I don't actually see the purpose of playing AI msaps as they don't sync online.

You play AI maps for fun :P You play them to continously kill an enemy and then laugh at his face xD But the SP maps... i would use them, but my spawns dont even work there. Seriously, i place a billion of spawns but i just wont spawn xd Seriously, i dont even know how to make a checkpoint in SP. might follow a tutorial hmm

SP no respawn AI don't spawn in Sapien. They spawn ingame though. Just not in Sapien. Also, use ai_place to place not initially created AIs

hey parkar. you need to practice a lot to get as good as me or as good as any of these good moders here on this website. they all started as someone who did not know what the heck they are doing. then out of no where somet one figure out how to work it and created tutorials. that is how i got really good. lots of tutorials. most of the tuts are videos. (better to understand.) so keep working at it. i have made so many maps with ai. i lost count of all the maps that i have made. dont worry you will get there. just keep practicing.

Depends on which kind of tags you're talking about, how well you know those particular tag types, and how many errors there are to fix. Now, if you're talking about making a tag do what you want it to do (in other words, no errors, just fixing it up the way you like it)... let's put it this way. I've been doing this for more than two years, and I'm still fixing tags. It all depends on how many ideas you decide to put into play, and how easy you are to satisfy. I'm just about a perfectionist, so I'm very particular about how I want my tags. The same may not apply to you.
