you cannot honestly compare the two weapons because the moment an enemy loses their shields, they are suseptible to the 1 headshot kill syndrome; what could take the AR 5 seconds of massive pounding (against an enemy) the BR can do with 1 bullet; they are very different guns :\

Seriously, about the ripping...Lol.

What should be determined between the two weapons is balance. The ARG is a short-mid range automatic weapon with a short-mid range grenade launcher, while the BRG is a mid-long range burst-fire weapon with a grenade launcher.

In the end, I would chose the BRG.

it took me a second to figure out that your post was inside a double quote
you spend your time and dedicated yourself to figuring out how to rip cmt's weapons from their protected map when you could take the time to learn how to do it yourself. im not going to get into this, except that if you wanna rip from a protected map, fine. swim in your own proverbial pool of disrespect, but if you are going to hand the tags out, then you would get called a noob.
personally, i would come up with a more colorfully creative word(s) than "noob", but you get the point.

Some people want to play with tags and don't care much for creating them theirselves. I think you should respect that too.

That BRG wasn't extracted. It was given. The skin on it, is in the tagset, but not on any of the released maps.

The battle rifle may or may not be extracted, but the roughness is a result of an added detail map in the main shader. I can just as easily remove it and it will be smooth. The cube map of the scope is the one from the halo 2 battle rifle, but i have recently made some fixes to the HUD and main bitmap (its smooth now). I also made the scope a bit brighter. Well might as well add a pic of my current one. Top picture is one i took, and its from CMT_icy_swamps, and lower one is from CMT_snow_grove.

Hmm.. honestly i forgot.. but i can check hang on. I remember i think it was a covenant detail map from a beam rifle "weapons\beam_rifle\bitmaps\covenant_detail". Thats the one i used. I highly doubt its from CMT simply because i had it before i had the battle rifle.

Also its kind of hard to tell the difference\similarities in the bitmaps, because snow grove is slightly foggy, but for sure i am using a different cube map for the scope. Who's WOLS?
