I am not talking about Marathon or Myth, but I know there was an original version of Halo created before it was finished in development (I guess you could call it an alpha or even beta game).

No, but a long ass time ago, like early 06 I had a few semi-functioning mac files.

I e-mailed Bungie about possibly getting this. Sadly, they never responded.

Bungie is sensitive about what they distribute. It'd be like asking them for a model from Halo3. There are too many other factors involved to give the item to just one person. I'm pretty sure they weren't the only company working on Pre-Halo projects. They'd probably need a bit of assurance from working sources to distribute it.

Like most old video games, they probably do not have that game anymore, like EA games does not even have a copy of Red Alert 2 or most of the C&C games anymore, the only reason it is still released is because Electric Arts gives those companies that the sell the game, the rights to do it, and in return, EA gets a %age of that profit.

They might not have the game info anymore =(, and as for asking for models or games, they will never give you a copy. Oh, and they do not respond to you if it is an obvious "no".

But I have done that too, I have emailed Bungie before, asking for the game....

Every game company has records and old files. It's what they use to backtrack. EA most certainly DOES have Red Alert 2, but they don't produce it anymore because it's not their main game.

bungie just doesnt respond to any emails. :( (atleast not mine) i emailed them about giving me information on the graivty rifle so i could remake it and they never replied.

Check this out, a Pre-Halo vid, WOW, a lot of old stuff from 1997-1998, they got a lot done that was not commonly done at the time, because Sony was still coming out of the closet in 2000 (lol).

In 3 years, they redeveloped Halo for FPS, and redid everything, EVERYTHING, EVERYTHING, and got it out for Xbox, and it became the Xbox's killer-app, even AFTER the xbox came out. An amazing game, I must say, a true legend (constant rambling has gotten the best of me, its "look at the time of post", and I am still up LAWL, *falls over snoring).
