SP Map Flood Assault Released!

Posted: Jan 16, 2009 04:13 PM    Msg. 1 of 7
Hey guys,

My map is near finishing, but i have this issue:

I made a command list '' Go to ''
And it works.

But the problem is, if the AI's are under fire, they just keep running to their next point.

Is there somthing that can make them go to a specific point, RUNNING, and fire at incoming enemys, and then run on?

Thanks!

So what do move positions do then?

And do firing positions do anything to carrier forms or sword elites?

Move positions are set when you want the AI to patrol a certain area. They'll either move randomly, in a loop, or back and forth, depending on what setting you have it on. In the original campaign, when you see Elites pacing back and forth (this is most apparent with Elite commanders), they have move positions.

Carrier forms most often just charge you, so not really. Firing positions determine where a Sword Elite is going to hide if their shields get low (IF they have shields). They also determine where they move to dodge a gunshot, just like a normal Elite. They just have a tendency to berserk and charge you, which makes it appear as if they don't use the firing positions.

you could also put a move position if you want an ai to go somewhere....just add firing positions from the thier starting location to the move position....which is what i did in floodgulch3.0

In your command list, just check "allow targeting" in the list of flags. They'll run the command list and will shoot at enemies they see like they usually do.
