A squad of Covenant Elite have captured and guard a pelican landing pad, but they're getting trigger happy, so transport them to the battlefield to join the fight.





Give some little Grunts energy shields and flamethrowers, and suddenly they become awfully cocky...need to tone these guys down a bit since the poor spartans don't stand a chance.

Looks good. One thing, how do the elites get trigger happy, if they don't have any guns?

They have plasma rifles, but must be sitting on them while in the pelican! I am still fiddling around with different animations. One of the elite will sit down in the rear as a pelican gunner.

I will hopefully soon upload it, possibly as a beta...I'm approximately 80% complete.
The map is very close to being maxed out as far as tags are concerned (0.55M free).

You should at least add some ai flying around Spirits and Dropships. A Banshee even.

I see that you used the grunt mp tags. good choice for a variety of weapons for the grunts.

why would the elites fly in a pelican? get a phantom. also, get some tower scenery and put some sniper grunts in there.

Read first post...map is too big for any additional vehicle types, and original scripts have been kept intact in trying to stay close to original map design. Tried to add jet dogfight, but causes all other AI to freeze, which is a symptom of a maxed out AI map. May do that with another map that I plan doing involving a large AI tank battle, jets and banshees.

Just as a reference to the Covenant war thing, and the Halo Universe, the Sangheili (or Elites) would rather die than have to use a human vehicle or weapon. It is stated strongly in the games and books.

Looks like a nice map idea though, its nice to see Cold Snap being used again.

I was actually thinking of upgrading Cold Snap, maybe make it to where you can pickup a vehicle anywhere on the map with the pelican. and also take out the jets, and put in some more Pelicans.

Red team is for Spartans, blue team is for Covenant.

Pelicans have now been added to each empty landing pad, and now two elites will drive a ghost from their captured pelican pad, cross the bridge, and join the battle. Two spartans will jump in a ghost at their guarded pad, and drive over and join the battle. When flying in for close air support, it can easily create a friendly fire situation if not careful.

By the way, anyone know the best animation settings for elite to jump in all three seats of a warthog? Doesn't look as if there are any appropriate ones listed on the pulldown menu.

if you hit the AI limit, theres a way to fix it.

1. make 2 trigger volumes, each one covers a big battle on the map.

2. script the trigger volumes so when you enter one trigger volume, it automaticly makes the AI in the other trigger volume brain dead.

Should I, or should I not block off the mountain glitch that allows you to fly a jet into the red base? This will limit entry into either base by a portal that I have added, and no glitching could occur.

Since I have received no response to my question, I will seal the glitch...
