Yea, yea, I've read those topics which say that there are too many flamers in this community. But I'm sure that you won't flame me, right? Right? Uh... ok. Well, as long as its constructive flaming, then I'm fine with it.

Anyway, I need criticism for my map, like last time. I reduxed Blood Gulch, completed it, and added cinematic bars. Credit IS contained within the readme that's in the zip file. I didn't forget this time. Also, download link is here:

I'll go get screenies in a few minutes. And, like always, I would like criticism on what I did bad and on what I should fix. I have added 3 skulls, but they may not work out well, as I haven't tested them, but they should keep you busy finding them. The pelican's are kind of drunk flying, and they appear out of thin air (still need to fix that), but I think everything else works out kind of fine...

NOTE: This is still a beta, and is not fully released.

Er.. what else is there to mention? Well, if I remember something, I'll edit. Have fun!

I played it and at the end, I got to the blue teleporter and my entire screen started to fade black and nothing happened.

thats the way custom single player maps end. Either white or black, or a part of the map the end cinematic ends on.

Cutscenes don't work properly for some reason, so instead, they will fade out, and the game will be over (once you finish). Just load last checkpoint, and it will be fine.

When the game was over, it loaded the next single player level I had. In the final fight, I don't think that sticking the two hunters there is a good idea. It was a little to compact of a space. A sword-wielding elite would work well, I think. In the part were you defend the marines and Keys, I think a timer would work better than a script checking to see if you killed all the covenant. Another issue with that part is that once, if Keys gets killed nothing bad happens to you. You probably should put a script to check if Keys dies, and if he does it gives you a game over. Oh, and I lol'd when the pelicans dropped the marines off in mid-air.

The big battle part of the Battle Creak is too hard. If it is a challenge for the developer, it is too hard. Maps seem easier in sapien, and developers are better at maps they make. I also am making a video of the glitches/secrets I have found.

At first, I had like 5 flood in the center, and a group of sentinals. Now, I removed the sentinals, and added more flood, elites, and marines. I can remove the amount of flood, if you would like. Also, I didn't originally have any plans for Keyes, but I suppose I can. Also, I did have problems with getting the Pelicans to work well, but I used ODSTs, so I'm hoping that's. The problem with using a sword-wielding elite, is that I already set the time frame after the final war, so elites are on your side, but I suppose I could try using something else that I have... another melee weapon... I'll leave it to your imagination >:) Also, I'm hoping that you had fun, and found most of the skulls :D

Ah. Apparently you found even more ways into "restricted" areas. And I thought my brother was good at those. Well, I better cover them up. And, you found the stealth skull I see. The other two are in Battle Creek.

It uses a scripting command that loads the "next level". That means if you have any other single player levels, it loads them.

I used the (game_won) command to end the map. Unless there's a better command?

You could use the (map_name ) command to load a selected map. Or you could fade out the screen and say, "game over". You also could make them restart the level (I forgot what the command for this is).

It's a single player map. You need to use console. I'm assuming you already know how, but I'll tell you anyway. Once you activate console, in the menu, hit ` , and type in

map_name flooderadicationbeta2

Then, it should start loading.

Ah. Ok. Anyway, I've added scripts so that if the captain dies, you lose (after seeing your video gruntfromhalo). Also, I've added a few more things, and I think it will come out well :D Any more suggestions?

Grunt Platoon+Beam Rifle: No.

Perhaps you would want to combine one more map? Damnation?

Add fighting Brutes and Elites. It would be cool.

Hm... Ok, so I'll remove the beam rifle. The sound was corrupted anyway. And I don't think I can combine another map. I'll add it into flooderadication part 2. Right now, I want cutscenes working on part one.

OK that was an OK map I did get paste the Brutes snipers once with dev on and camera... It was ok... I found the skulls to be pointless unless you only have 1 only. I say take snipers out. Make brutes headshotable and smg less powerful. The grunts were a challenge but Im not a Legendary player. Uhhhh make the vehicle closer, and marines stonger, WDF up with Keyes though.

I like alot of grunts MORE ROTTING CORPSES
uhhh The SMG was like an MP5 a few shots drops 8
the marines NEED a 20 health boost, or let them ATLEAST aim better

have the pelican explode instead of disappearing. Also, do a better job of closing of areas on battle creek. Also, really good job.

Another thing, was battle creek had no story. It was like, zomg!, and then there was flood. On blood gulch, there should be a part where you go through the tunnels and clear out Covenant with a flame thrower.

But overall, really amazing map. There needs to be more single player maps; i think they are a lot more fun than multiplayer if done right. This is almost as good as in some categories, and better in others, than Retribution. Well done!

Hmm... you are right. If I could get cutscenes working, I could make a story. Also, plasma grenades + flame = bad. But I'll see what I can do.

I liked the map a lot. It was confusing after you kill the Grunt Platoon because I didn't know where to go after that.
