What causes and what eliminates what I call "AI Doppelgangers" from appearing on client PCs when joining an multiplayer game that has AI included. I thought that it might be caused by maps with multiple BSPs, but after eliminating a second BSP structure in Guerilla, it still occurs. The AIs will attack these "duplicate actors" as if they are enemy, but they don't die...and are like statues.

AI doesn't sync. There is no explanation, there is just that fact. Get over it.

I totally realize that they won't sync, but some AI maps do not appear to have the duplicates, but some will. They are doubles for each actor which cause the active ones to stop and attack them as if they are enemy.

Again. The reason for these is because AI doesn't sync. Because the fact that AI netcode isn't "shipped" over with the other pieces of data sent (vehicles, etc.), wierd things start to happen. And one of them is what you're seeing.

Its actually uploaded somewhere on Halomaps. I cant remember where, though. Search for it. E: I found it: netcode_correct (objects_AI (encounter/squad bipedname) ->) encounter is the encouter. squad is the squad. bipedname is the name of the biped. Edited by Headhunter09 on Dec 26, 2008 at 04:38 PM

Seriously, this was just TOO rare and good of a moment to not take advantage of. Oh the script is wrong too. Packet type is usually PTYPE_OBJ, and the last part has to be TRUE.
