Hi

This is the name of my mapping team. we need some new members and anyone can join we are a mappingteam for CE and various other games but anyway... mostly CE. So We need some members and anyone can join but, we espicially need people who can do these things

This map did not have alot of time to put in it i threw it together so you guys would have something to see that my mappingteam has done with me.

Try to learn a little bit more before making a mapping team next time. The two things you NEED to learn are: vertex modeling and plane modeling. Vertex modeling is usually used instead of hightmaps on the levels themselves. It almost always looks better and it always conserves polygons more. The only tutorials I know of are: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l3J3Dqt_cpA , and http://hce.halomaps.org/index.cfm?fid=3591. For plane modeling, it is usually used on architecture. It tends to be better looking and saves polygons also. A very good tutorial for that is found here: http://hce.halomaps.org/index.cfm?fid=3628.

Here's a tip. Make more polies in your map so you can fit more details. Not too many, but enough to get straight to the point. Height maps are not the way to go.

Also, if you want to model precisely, get 3DS Max. Gmax is free, and usually, free doesn't always mean good. They are practically the same thing, but Gmax has a lot of defects the way it builds things.

Its his topic. He says he already has 3DS Max. So that's checked off the list. All you really need to work on are some textures and making the levels more poly realistic.

Pakar, don't listen to the people saying you need to plane model and vertex model. Those people most likely have no clue what they are doing. You can watch those tutorials and when you are done watching them try and take some tools and methods you are shown. Take those methods and use them how you like. You don't have to model a thing a cetain way as what these idiots say. You will eventually get a feel to how things should be done. Everything is learned through practice.

Please don't say because I'm in CMT. Really if I had to give my opinion, I believe there might be 3 people who can tell others how to model in this community, but because there are such a limit to those people and this is a community. Everyone can say something. It's just who you should listen to and IGNORE.

Well Actually Yes I am trying to recruit some new members for my mappingteam!

Well Who wants to join i am working on 2 maps currently one is plane modeled and another is Displace\heightmap. So who wants to join?

EDIT: I need a tagger who can tag vehicles\weapons\bipeds ect. Or atleast someone who can tag anything i can tag myself but very little things

What I mean by taggers is that i need someone to be able to take the model collsion model ect ect and if it were a biped be able to set that all up in guerilla and make it into a working tag like i said it to be. And add all the numbers to it\settings in guerilla\variables.
