I know nothing about Halo 2, but am thinking about Santa bringing it to me for Christmas. Does anyone have any opinion of the program, or should I just skip it? Is there an HEK version for it, and if so, how easy is it to edit maps?

i don't have it but it doesn't seem to be very popular because there are only 2 pages of custom maps(96 maps) http://h2v.halomaps.org/index.cfm?pg=6&sid=10and, have 2 halo games on a computer will take a lot of space on your hard drive (my halo ce takes 6.68mb, I think) Edited by kev3344 on Dec 2, 2008 at 03:26 PMEdited by kev3344 on Dec 2, 2008 at 03:27 PM

Lots of fast speed walk hackers and cheaters. :|

No, it was pretty much designed as I like to call: A go-over-to-your-friends-house-and-drink-beer-sitting-on-the-couch-playing-Halo 3-online. It's not exactly designed for PC, and it's too late already to attempt to release it for PC.

Even with my reasons, there's still one little chance that Microsoft will try to milk as much cash as they can out of Halo 3, even when they hopefully learned from Halo 2 Vista.

Halo 2 Vista sucks. I have it. I have experienced it. It sucks. Hard.
Unless you have a computer with very good graphics and sufficient amount of RAM, it takes 5-7 minutes to load a map, and it starts off very, very laggy (this is for a computer which can run Halo CE with all the highest decals and graphics and still only use 20% CPU).
Too many cheaters. Self-explanatory.
Not many people play it (compared to many other online FPSers).
Some other reasons as to why it sucks balls in which I cannot remember at this moment in time due to me doing a coursework assignment for college. Edited by k9colin on Dec 2, 2008 at 04:58 PM

I still love DOOM 3, and after LMS 4.0 came out, it is a lot of fun online. A friend an I would play until 2 or 3 am and not even realize what time it was. I haven't downloaded opencoop for DOOM 3, but have tried the techdemo2 opencoop for Quake 4 which, though somewhat buggy, also works fairly well on some maps.

I think you should get it it's great IMO
