In some games it shows your speed on the game screen in your XY movement and your XYZ movement. Is there any way of doing this in halo?

The unit_hud_interface tag's multitex overlay->effectors->source fielddoesn't offer player speed, only player pitch, player pitch tangent, player yaw, explicit, and weapon stuff. Maybe I didn't look in the right tags

Maybe I could write a script that calculates the user's speed by their change in location

Scripts cant detect where a player is, only by using trigger volumes, but you wont be able to create enough triggers. and how would a script display it on your HUD?

edited my previous post ^^^. Would making a waypoint work?

so there would be no way of putting it on the hud even if you could calculate the speed?

I might have missed it, but I don't think it's an option at the moment.

that is only used for things like the ticks on the sniper scope
