i havnt made a map in like 6months and i never created my shaders i let tool do that for me and i remember it asks for what shader type to create but i cant remember what it is....I know its either shader_environment or shader_model.....the bitmap (or whatever) is material_floodgulch4 (ive retextured bloodgulch)
Edit: Ive tryied both and when i try it says stuff about not being able to create the shader DEBUG for when i tried shader_model:

Okay. But remember that filenames simply CANNOT contain those characters. Or / \ slashes/backslashes are used in directorys to determine the location.
so saying, for example on my computer, Data Access Media would look for something called Data Access Media. But if the directory was Data Access/Media, it would take me to my Media folder, insinde my Data Access folder.
But i can't name a folder something like Word/Programs (which is my file Word Programs with a slash instead of a space...)
I can't name it that because then the directory becomes Data Access/Word/Programs So it looks for something called Programs inside of Word inside of Data Access...
So say, you had a bitmap. You could call it something like Bitmap_One (though i don't know why you would).
But for whatever reason you wanted to, you couldn't name it Bitmap/One or something like Bitmap_One/Two
So say it was in a folder called FolderOne. It would be looking for Bitmap/One inside of FolderOne
The directory becomes FolderOne/Bitmap/One And once again, the stupid program thinks you are looking for One, inside of a folder called Bitmap, inside of a folder called FolderOne.
So for this reason / and \ can't be in file names. or the other certain symbols, for likely valid reasons.
i think ive made myself clear. Though it was probally all just an excuse to type...
