Yeah seriously.

That's sweet. But I think you sped up your voice and then added the metallic effect to it. You sound funny when you say "I know I sound like guilty spark.."

Whoa... I've been trying to figure out how to get that effect. That's perfect. I know it's some sort of sine wave pitch modulation that's added on top of the normal voice with a slight delay... but I don't think I could do it just with Audacity unless I have some specific plug-ins. What software did you use, and what effects were used?

its the other way around... the elites turned on the covenant

ur right but the prophets did put down the elites and in halo 2 they some times say traitor to the brutes, i think

the prophets told the brutes to take the place of the elites, as the main soldiers and the guards to the prophets. ever since the death of one of the prophets by "the demon"

truth used regret has bait, it was all planed out

no, regret was doing a sermon at the forerunner place, then the chief came in etc etc

After the Prophet of Regret was killed by the Master Chief, the two remaining Prophets, most notably the High Prophet of Truth, reorganized Covenant society, replacing the Elites with the Brutes as the Prophets' protectors. The Elites viewed this as a violation of the principle that the Covenant had been founded upon and threatened to resign from the High Council. They also argued that if Truth had not withdrawn the Phantoms that had been en route to Regret's location, the Prophet's death would have been prevented and the Demon would have been killed instead of the Prophet.

However, Truth further demoted the Elites by giving command of their Covenant Fleets to the Brutes. Once enough Brutes were in place, Truth instigated the war by secretly ordering the assassination of many ruling Elites. This was disguised as a Brute insurrection against the Covenant to the Elites, the Hunters and most Grunts. Loyalist factions were led to believe it was an Elite revolt. After the killing of the Elite Council members, war broke out on High Charity, the two sides polarizing quickly. However, this was at first a debate over orthodoxy and leadership. The true split occurred when the Elites learned the truth about the Halos and the Great Journey. Their disillusionment changed their goal from reforming the purity of the Covenant to actively fighting against it.

Elites are simple. As long as you have a somewhat deep voice, then you can just record yourself saying that (with decent emotion of course) and then just lower the pitch by about half an octave (6 semitones) using Audacity or any other program.

Step 1. Get Audacity.
Step 2. Get LADSPA plugins for Audacity.
Step 3. Record your voice.
Step 4. Adjust pitch if needed.
Step 5. Apply Decay (Flanger works nicely too) effect.
Step 6. ???
Step 7. PROFIT!!!

It's really not all that hard...

The LADSPA is a plugin pack for Audacity, you can find it on their website (Google it)



Who said I wanted good instructions?

Retro flanger. It is in the LADPSA plugin pack. Delay on audacity doesn't work the same way the one THX used. Flanger is the closest to those results.
