How do you modify a Scarab tag to allow for the driver to enter at one of the legs?

You would have to move the #driver marker

That'd be some hard stuff...
Why don't you just import it into 3ds/gmax?

Oh yeah, you'd have to create a marker named #driver enter if you don't want MC to sit in the leg XD

i would do something like the overpowered piece of junk called the mythos.
remember when there was no driver, that hatch with stairs opened, and closed when a driver got in? sure you could get in from the bottom and always appeared underneath, but it worked.
perhaps if you made a covenant-style extending ladder on the side that would be out in any lack of driver. plus a modification i saw that puts the scarab in a crouched position, i think it would work great.
of course, if you are going to modify a scarab, i think this.
there should also be: A) some cargo type seats in the command deck. No firepower, but better protection B) a Co-Pilot for the main gun (currently the secondary gun for the driver) C) a Gunner Seat for the Rear gun (its not even used on the model in the Halo 2 Campaign, but its there) D) perhaps a model with one to two small, infantry operated plasma turrets on each side. Not much firepower, but its something, and its optional.
Or someone could suck it up and either: A) Completely redo the Scarab (there are issues with being able to see and everything) or: B) Suck it up some more and make a Halo 3 Scarab. The core in the rear would just be visual, the armor guarding it won't blow off, and the legs can't be damaged to take it down.
i think all of the above should be done, but thats why i mention it. it would be odd to control it from the leg... though entirely possible. Just don't make it like the Tachikoma from Hugeass. You should know what i mean.

Or, you could apply a ladder symbol, so that you can climb up the scarab.

I have just added it to my "NoWayOut" map. Extinction map has a loading tower with ladder which looks good.
