Anyone know of a decent quality free voice synthisizer?

I just want to be able to type something in and get a sound back, without it being too natural. I want to use it as a replacement to the default announcer voice...

You don't want a synthesizer. It's usually used for singing to make your voice sound better (T-Pain) what you want is a voice editor and I believe you can do that with audacity.

That would be a TTS engine. Text-To-Speech.

A synthesizer is a term that can be used interchangeably with vocoder, and is something I'm working on using lately for my band...

Microsoft Sam is the only TTS voice I know of, but you can download others somewhere.
