When I see all these amazing and complex models, I think,"Man, I want to make something amazing..."
Well, I don't know exactly what to do,
So, do I have to model everything from a box, or do I have to make more than one box and attach them? I'm a little confused...

It's not a skill saw. You can fiddle around with it and figure out how it works, without cutting your fingers off :) You could also find videos by searching for modelling tutorials here, and/or elsewhere. Max's documentation is also a very usefull source of information

Actually Plane Integrists do everything from plane modelling. Even tho you can get similar result with Box modelling for many thing, they don't accept you can be different hence their Flame wars agaisn't box modellers.

I model rooms/areas individually, leave some kind of a common door on all of them and connect them in the end, things look a bit more symmetrical that way. Even if your good the only way to make those amazing models is to spend an amazing amount of time on them.
