The trees could use a bit more work, and the verts and stuff could be moved around a bit. But other than that I really love it.

If it is an area of vegetation then wouldn't it have more erosion and also if the map is based out of a giant hole in the ground there needs to be some more properties as if the map was once filled with water. Like have some cliffs that seem to dive downwards or have some underwater looking plants.

i would show you people a picture of my mk-walker (its a new verson of the mythos) its totally different model but it still walks. the only thing that is the mythoses is the legs. i riped em but i changed them a bit. still i gotta give credit to the mythos because when mythril and i tagg this, were gonna use mythos as a backup. or u could say like a refrence. anyway il get mythril to put a pic on here soon so u all can c it... hopefully ul like it. Don;t be afraid to use more polys on the terrain, looks great though <3 Yes they are trees, or at least will be, as for the map as a whole I've only been working on it for about 4 hours I work into highpoly not the other way around. Quote: --- Original message by: DEEhunter If it is an area of vegetation then wouldn't it have more erosion and also if the map is based out of a giant hole in the ground there needs to be some more properties as if the map was once filled with water. Like have some cliffs that seem to dive downwards or have some underwater looking plants. It's not a dried lake and it's more like a place where two mountains come together, right now I'm being cautious of how I'm making the area because I don't want to have to model a mountain vista to get the point of across, as to where players are. So in order to not have to do that I'm just creating cliffs, one thing I attempt to do when I'm modeling is put the playspace into the real world. There will be more erosion but I do realize that more polys can affect gameplay and I don't mean lag, I mean the more crevices a grenade or player can get caught in, the less fun the play space could be. Thanks for the crits guys. YakZSmelk Edited by YakZSmelk on Sep 1, 2008 at 05:59 PM

Yeah I still have something like 2 buildings to add but They're not ready...
Now for gameplay I'm puzzled. The map didn't start out with it in mind obviously due to the scale but I don't intend it to be some huge rigged Effed up Crappe so hmm.... I can't add hills inside that's for sure, Obstacles I probably will have to and most likely most will come from sapien...
What should I do outside of the base? Should I restrain the acces or should I keep on adding stuff just for the sake of it? I'm at 40 000 polies, 36 000 verts.... Every building has an interior and some actually use Halo SP BSP. Edited by OpsY on Sep 1, 2008 at 08:03 PM
