i dont like that the SMG's ammo meters are messed up... it shows the primary ammo used on both meters so i cant see how much ammo is in the secondary SMG... does anyone know how to fix ammo meters so that the second one shows the secondary ammo?

also i need help with changeing the intergers for ammo counts... like on the battle rifle if you shoot one bullet it seems to take away 3 "bullets" from the ammo meter

well to begin with, it would have helped if you had mentioned that you were talking about dual weilded SMGs. i had to figure that out, and you still havent told us where the issue is from.

second of all, the battle rifle does take three bullets. if you turn rapidly and fire at a wall at the same time, you will discover this. i had my doubts about this too. clearly you have only ever played the first halo game, however, becase the BR55 Battle Rifle is always set to a three-eound burst firing mode. the weapon was only staying true to fact. i don't know why you would want to change this. but whatever.

ok cool you totally didnt understand what he said. hes asking about ammo meters. open the weapon hud interface for the weapon, and find meter elements. set the source for one of the meters to secondary loaded ammo

first of all... the problem with the (dual wield.... (sorry about that i forgot lol)) weapons (not just SMG's) is that on the ammo counter (part of the HUD) when you shoot the first gun (left) it appears to take ammo from the second gun's ammo counter (theone in the upper-right corner in the HUD)

secondly i have played Halo 2 (and i still have it) and i messed up talking about the BR i meant about something else... but to make this easier...

instead of using the battle rifle as an example take the carbine from RPG beta 4-4 for instance.... shoot it and watch the ammo counts (on the HUD) even though it shoots 1 shot sometimes it appears to take away 2 or 3 shots from the ammo count (because of the intergers are not the same)

note* i said appearently meaning that you still have (insert current ammo) in the carbine but it says differently on the HUD*

***EDIT***
oh well... in that case thanks Donut
but that still doesnt answer the intergers question...

do you have xfire? i have a 11 kb text document that COMPLETLY breaks down weapon hud interfaces. the intergers problem is the alpha multiplier. it is set by rounding the result of 240/<maximum clip ammo>
so for the pistol: 240/12=20 so the alpha multiplier is 20
for a thing like the battle rifle: 240/36=6.66666.... so we would round that up. the alpha multiplier would be 7
add me on xfire at thekillerdonut

ooh, i would love that but my download file is missing. can you attach it to an email.

and i knew what he was talking about, it was just hard.

as for the carbine, that is odd. there is a good chance that the weapon is using poorly modified scripting from a Battle Rifle.

none the less, Donut has the answer. does that gide talk about making a custom hud?

it tells you everything about weapon hud interfaces, but i dont think it covers how to set up the bitmaps.
