I was thinking. Would Black plasma be possible. As in, changing the plasma rifle bolts from blue to black

uh..open the projectile tag and change color...

I did that for Halo Trial and it just went white :-/ I'm Gonna try with HEK now

u have to change every property that deals with the plasma bolts color.

there is so much involved in effectively making black plasma, and it always comes out looking white instead of black, so i wouldn't even bother trying

I tried it back when I modded PC. the closest I got was a purple-ish color.

What exactly IS involved?

It would be really cool to see black plasma. Maybe not implemented into a current weapon, maybe just a new covenant weapon that shoots a new form of plasma.

(It would also be nice to see some good covenant weapons, the weapon tags section is filled with human weapons...)

For some rason it always turns white. I tried changing every colour to do with the plasma pistol including all effects to black. It jsut turned white and normal greenblue colours. I tried putting it Nearly blackas in daaark grey and it did the same thing :(

I guess a new projectile will need to be made then. I would not know what to do atm, as the HEK is currently unavailable to me (well, it is, but remember: 600 MHz computer for now >.<).

I think there should be yellow plasma.

Or some brown plasma.

Well I read this one just after looking again at Chain's remark... so I kinda thought up...

The yellow plasma would be ok, as it would still resemble an energy/plasma-based weapon.

I still wonder if someone is going to go dig up their HEK and tinker with the projectiles (I can't right now, remember?)
Also, I think that if it is black, it should have some purple and blue highlights, just because it would look evilish.

i did purple and yellow and red. yellow was a fail automatic pistol, red was a shotgun, and purple was a remodel of an m60 with the same fireing effects. i would love to see purple plasma implemented somehow, but i dont know how that would work.

seriously, that is just..... wtf. from what i can make out, its a screen from halo 3 thats inverted. why would you even bother posting that? seriously, why?

Fake.. Although there was a pic of a Red sword.. Brute E sword ftw.

I actually like the energy sword pure black, but I always liked inverted colors.

Add more bloom.

As for black plasma..... Transparents don't work to well with black if I am not mistaken (And I often am...)
