When people donate money to the site and tell who they want to get banned and the virtual money gets put on their head, like a virtual bounty and by the end of it, whoever has the most money on their head gets permabanned.

I think locking your own topics would be a cool feature, but we dont need rep or donation bans. I agree 100% with you on that. Edited by Dotrage on Jun 30, 2008 at 06:54 PM Ditto. We should start a perition for it.

Oh my the drama... It's a game forum for kids. What do you expect? I opened it for ANYONE who wants to play or make maps for Halo CE regardless of age. That is why I have the cardinal rules that include no profanity. If the forum no longer suits your interests then that is fine and normal. There is no drama to be had about it. :/ I don't think it requires banning. I already received my warning and am now trying to be a good boy. The only thing I wish there was here was common courtesy for the map-makers. I have never released anything, never plan to release anything, and probably never will. I am here because I love Halo CE, and I want to be up to date on the projects going on for it. But, honestly, all the people derailing threads and such are quite annoying, and the lack of courtesy for the map-makers (even though some are quite arrogant at times) is quit obnoxious. I think that what Dennis means is that he's not going to go all fascist on us, but, for gods-sakes, try to be courteous to other people.

They are there to help parents make the decision to allow or not allow their children to play or not to play. Try to understand what people are saying before you go quote posting k? Quote: --- Original message by: ColdFire Image posting privileges that are earned after 20 or so decent posts to prevent instant join and spam BS? -Same with the amount of characters you can type? (Keeping in mind I enjoy typing up huge posts just as much as spammers do.) The option to create your own threads earned after 2 days of your registration? Automatic removal of pictures over a specified size? (Or an option that hides them.) The option to lock your own threads? IP banning of spammers? More than one moderator? The ideas are out there, we just need action. Dennis...? Edited by ColdFire on Jun 30, 2008 at 07:40 PM I think these are all great ideas. New users shouldn't be able to post pictures for a little while because generally if someone just joined a community, they don't have anything to show anyways and probably will not miss the feature.

I am not going to re-design the Forum or put in special stuff because you all can't control yourselves.
The answer is much more simple but apparently very had for you to get; Just stop posting so many image spam as a response to something and type instead. All the other stuff you want, vote ban, number of images per post, no images until posting X times is more of a limit than what I am asking you to do and if you can't control yourselves then I just remove image posting or shut down the forum.
Simple really: Don't worry about what anyone else does, just worry about yourself and stop posting image spam. Why is this so hard to understand?

If image posting is removed, we can always post links to images. In fact, I like that better because of the fact that when an image is posted, it can make the actual page itself wide forcing us to scroll across to read someone else's message if they did not format it correctly.

The Barron has a voice to be heard and listened to.
there are many ways to deal with these immature people.
1) use the "responsible awards" someone behaves well... award them.
2) just ban the people who are doing this.
3) talk to them about what they did wrong and how they can fix it
4) use some kind of privilege reduction system for people who behave immature
5) (my personal favorite) allow The Barron to put on his verbal slapping glove and teach the people a lesson and make there life on halomaps forum as miserable as possible. the pain of the verbal harassment would last for two weeks. if they commit the "crime" again. allow me to dish out the pain on them with my great vocabulary of hurtful words and phrases. i would enjoy this option so much.
6) (probably the best option) stick with you feelings. this is your forum(s). do what ever you feel is needed to stop this nonsense. your a person with a great mind. i believe the best solution is the one your going to make... not the ones that others make.
thats just what i think. Edited by The Barron on Jul 5, 2008 at 01:38 AM

as much as these options appeal well with me, especially option 5 (but please, allow me xP ) I dont think they would be applicable / just dont work here for ethical reasons (?) but i feel they are overall good ideas
EDIT: ah yes i also forgot that it could be a real pain to implement and/or its just alot of work that probably does not need to be done, in the first place Edited by Dhark on Jul 5, 2008 at 01:53 AM
