Does anyone know where to compare the performance & features of all graphic cards (that's not a chart)?

Edit: nvm, found it. (gpureview.com)

That guy most likely owns a computer store or runs a building store. Im not saying I have the BEST, but I have the best on the market. I also am always updated.... But yeah, he has some really nice stuff.

He actually uses a skull trail bored and water cools everything but I think now hes on a 790i board

Barely, you're running on 512mb of ram which is the minimum, and with the 9550 I only advise running at 800x600 decals on meium-low settings for a decent frame rate

Will my old computer be able to run CMT SPv2? And if I can, what are all of the best video settings to run SPv2? (I play in the lowest resolution on window mode currently.)

Intel Celeron D 325 @ 2.53 GHz
Evga GeForce 6200 256 MB GDDR2 PCI
1024 MB DDR 400 PC3200 (2 x 512 MB)

If you need any more info about this comp, please tell me.

Apparently yesterday there was a driver update for my intel graphics card for vista. So I was curious and download and installed it and it turns out it was the Intel media accelerator only now it was Vista compatible. I don't know exactly what it upgraded but I know it upgraded something??

Sorry if 2 days is actually a bump, but...

What is the best graphics card for gaming outside of halo? My current one has a lot of trouble with GTA San Andreas and Battlefield 2142.

As far as intel cards go, THE ONLY ONE that I know for sure should be able to handle SPV2 is the Mobile Intel(R) 915GM/GMS,910GML Express Chipset...

Hell, with this thing, I could run SPV1 with an average of 20 fps on full settings at 800x600, and 30 fps with only specular disabled at 640x480 (mind you, 640x480 is the resolution of a REGULAR TV so why people have problems with it is beyond me.)

But there is one problem:

Yes, the noise maps are raped into half. Sometimes it looks cool though, as this means the sharpness of the shield "lightning" effect is only limited by your display resolution...
and it is only a minor setback anyway.

Not that I can recommend this card, I don't. But just saying that not all intel cards totally suck beyond failure, this one just fails...

I could probably run at higher settings if this computer werent so slow. I have only 512 MB of RAM and run at 2 GHz...

not to mention, if the word "Mobile" in my graphics card did not ring a bell, I use a laptop.

BTW, someone not importiant, this card ALSO plays GTA San Andreas with 800x600 at 32 bit resolution at full draw distance and low detail (ps2 graphic settings) at a nice, solid 30 fps.

Of course, I really would prefer to just build a nice, powerhouse gaming PC with a badass graphics card (or two)...

and at least two cores... yes, I have been living off of one core all my life.

How low would my FPS go if my 8600gt was playing it at 1440x990. For some reason, after the new force ware drive, I lost the option of 1600x1200, or maybe it was 1680x1050...can't remember.

shouldn't go too my ddr2 8500gt was able to play with 25fps at that res so the 8600 should be 30-35 fps or so

So, can I at least force AA wihtout HCE not showing?
And in the cmt is back thread, there are screenshots of SPv1 being at about the same FPS at SPv2, so what is the most graphics intense level in the game (spv1)? I want to see how it would run.

No way to force AA except get a crappy CRT monitor, punch it many times, but try not to make the cathode ray tubes (hence the name, CRT) bust. If done right, you should make the screen blurry to the point where pixel edges are indistinguishable. Punch more for proper AA at lower resolutions. WARNING: This may NOT be reversable.
Of course it was a joke.

Most graphics intense level...

well I had the worst FPS in the cafeteria of the first level, a10 (Pillar of Autumn). For some reason, though, in the Maw, I did not get such FPS lag. O_o

I also had lag in the Hangar rooms of both covenant ship levels, but only if I had specular on. Turned off, I had virtually no lag at all for some reason (must have been that stupid decorative bump map on the floors)

I tried B40 on an 8600gt Gddr3 256 vram, and a res of 1440x990 (or is it 900?), and all high settings, everything on except for decals. It got me a constant 60 FPS wherever I went. But strangely, some how my screen shot went past the v-sync barrier...sometimes halo just jumps over the 60 for a split second.
And turning on decals didn't cause FPS drops for me, but it did cause tearing..
So, will this be pretty much the same (the frames) on Spv2?

As showed by Arteen in the CMT is Back thread, you will probably get a constant 60 FPS also, but since you have a series 8, you have to turn off decals, as you have already said. Also, why do you have Yelo on?

Because yelo is awesome.

Too bad it doesn't work for some computers, and it's discontinued.

What's yelo? All I see is the game and the FPS counter it has.
I searched google and all I got for yelo was foot massage.
Under youtube, I found a vid, and yelo is a FOV changing prgram? I just use bitterbana's...

He might just be using the Thirdperson/FOV one, instead of Yelo. I was looking at the ammo counter and the grenades, which I think, can be moved with Yelo.

I'm just using 3rd person/FOV. I don't think the game shows enough of your gun.
And if ammo counters and things can be moved with it..where do I get yelo?

Well, your post does say
Quote: 7600gt/8600gt 256mb ddr3 1280x1024 all high settings decals off

Is Gddr3 really that much better than gddr3? And I think gddr5 is out, that or it's gdrr4..

that doesn't make sense Gddr3 is the same as Gddr3. Soon Gddr5 cards will be out on the 4870s

My requirements are estimates because Spv2 isn't out yet but since they're filling the screen full of Ai and high res textures I believe that performance will drop.

Unlike most people, I can actually stand lower resolutions because 640x480 is the dimensions of a regular, non "hi-def" television.

I prefer to use high detail settings at lower resolutions so that I can get the best of both worlds, good graphics with high performance (though, my card ****ing sucks!)

However, I can't stand 16 bit color anymore. I can stand DOS games with only 8 bit, but 16 bit just makes my eyes bleed anymore.

I would use 800x600 if my card were not such fail. Actually, I can usually run Halo's stock maps at 800x600, but some maps I need to tone it down to 640x480... if I don't do that, I have to turn off specular, making everything not-so-shiny. =<

Big difference for me sometimes.

As long as I can play without turning all the graphics settings to "low" or "off", I am fine.
As far as the graphics settings go, however, the only graphics settings that really have much of a performance change are specular and shadows, maybe particles. I turn textures to "low" and the performance change was so little it wasn't even funny.
