OK it is based on the bases from sidewinder.

I am still working on it and just wont a bit of feed back on it.

it has a garage underground witch can be accessed from inside the base or from the main door for the garage

inbuild teleport sheld
lighting
ladders

I have got into a map for testing if you would like to take a look at ingame here is a link to it http://files.filefront.com/sw+type+baserar/;10136896;/fileinfo.html
any and all feed back on this would be cool.

outside

inside

garage part of the base

I agree, the textures arn't good at all (or at least the UVW mapping isn't). But also, is it supposed to be human or forerunner? I see both forerunner and human in it's architechure. Also, you seem to have mixed the textures from both.

1)Dont mix human and forerunner textures

Why not it is a forerunner base that has been added onto by humans.

2)Your UVs are terrible

well yes why spend a lot of time on it when nothing it has been finilized. Still working on it.

3)Thats way too boxy, its a really boring and overall displeasing structure.

no **** as above

Thanks to all for comments but what can be added to it to improve it.

I think sugar coating the truth is only allowed in the Oreos thread currently...

.......

On topic, I agree that the base needs better texturing, and it does look boxy. I couldn't model anything remotely close to that myself currently, but that doesn't stop me from saying it's ugly.

It was good adivce BUT good have been put in a bettter way. As this is what I would like to see done with the model.

I have restarted the base but can I get feedback on how the garrage should come out of the underground part.

1 just some tunnel with a fourrunner base behind.
2 Or a model like the vehicle base in Halo wars. have the garrage come out with a big ramp and have the base built behind.

When I am happy with what i have modeled I will put it on halo maps for anyone to use so tell me what you wont.

Well, if i could say anthing at all, I would say that the exterior textures need work. They need a steellish slant to the exterior instead of the texture you have in place. But the interior looks pretty good, just keep working on it. :)
