and yet my computer has better graphics and less lag than a xbox even when i play halo 2 on my computer. a computer is no doubt more powerful....I use my Dads computer...called Alienware...it is awesome...what is your crummy box?

people just chill and relax like if halo 3 ce comes to the pc that would be great comes if not to bad.

most game developers are going to make console games exclussive because you can make more money there

look at gears of war for the xbox 360 7 million copies sold and for the pc 1 million + the money you lose as an company from piracy ect in the pc world

It is becoming less interesting for game developers to make games for the pc because A; most people's pc cant handle it
B: Most people dont have or want to spend the money to upgrade their pc
C: illegal copies ect is making developers lose a lot of money

on the computer i'd say there are more computers out there being used for businesses college use ect then some one just using it for playing games. that is y 7 million copies sold for xbox and 1 million for pc. im not saying piracy doesnt happen but it would be more money getting all the software and this chip u have to put in ur computer in order to play it than to just by the game like after a few months of it coming out. and picary does happen for xbox and other consoles too but u have to get a specail chip to play it. and all the info about this chip i looked up on the internet for this situation not because i wanted a chip.

• Bungie and Microsoft have both DENIED ALL RUMORS that there will be Halo 3 for PC, so stop hoping, its not going to happen.


• Bungie / and / or Microsoft will not just make this "Halo 3 Style HCE" that you want Just for you.


• It wouldn't be possible anyway.


• Halo CE would need a completely new game engine (You would need to replace the whole game code, this alone would take you and a group of people over 16 YEARS, YEARS OF YOUR LIFE, THAT YOU COULD BE SPENDING WITH YOUR FAMILY, HAVING A REAL LIFE, to re-code. And Even if you did waste your life doing that, two things would happen: Bungie and Microsoft would sue you, and the HCE Gaming community would be dead (These are facts people, it is going to happen eventually.)

So stop posting in this thread, it ISN'T going to happen.

I read in a magazine i have (although i cant find the right one) it says it could be possible for Halo 3 to come out for the PC's, but instead of Windows, they are going to make it for the Mac, because Mac's are more updated then Windows

April Fools Day is over, that is so wrong in many ways, like why would Microsoft give one of their best selling games to Apple, their rival? Halo 3 is a 'invite friends over, get some beer, sit on the couch, and play Halo 3 online.' Not a 'invite over friends, get some beer, and crowd around a PC monitor where only one person can play at a time' game.

im not interested in making another halo how many times do i have to say it be fore it gits though stupid ppl im only interested in UPDATING the game not making money either.

Your wants and desires have no relevance unless you are the one spending the time and money to do the update.

Most of us would want them to release a patch that fix the netcode but the truth is that to gearbox the game is dead and old.

And, sadly, the truth is that are community is too small to make a big difference. Theres probably only 300 people who play any of the more obscure maps anymore.

THIS EXPLAINS EVERYTHING.

what does that explain homestarrunner.com is an awesome site it is hilarious. but what money would be lost in making a new dev thing i think it should be free. that is the way wit dev trainer and dev commands.

It takes money to make money. Gearbox could care less about this game now because it is free and unsupported. So, why would they waste time, money, and resources in providing a FREE update that basically just makes what could be done with the HEK easier? Then they would clearly lose money. It makes no sense.

By the way, the Dev Trainer was made by an individual who just enjoyed what he was doing and decided to benefit the community, not by a company looking for profit, so of course it was free.

And the devmode commands were part of Halo CE to begin with.

i know gearbox doesnt care about this game anymore but what if we update it wit devs i have said it many times use devs. i dont really care about gearbox or bungie anymore on this subject. im thinking of using devs like u chuse a spawn point and spawn a car or wep or some thing not another halo not anything to do wit another company i dont want to make money nether.

I can believe that Microsoft would port Halo 3 to the PC, but it would not have a hek because of forge and all the things bungie made for the xbox game. If they do port it would be in a few years and I think Halo 3 will be long gone and Microsoft learned that mistake with Halo 2's port. Does anyone know how much they made from porting Halo 2?
