can someone plz tell me how to host? Every time i try to host halo either crashes or says unable to game.. help!!!!!!

ok....im not gonna forward ports because my brothers computer has halo on it and he can host and he didnt forward any ports.....if i have to forward a port is there a trial of pcconfig because im only 15 and i dont have a credit card...
