Dude you don't run it like that

HEK has a bunch or programs used to create or mod maps for Halo Custom Edition

The tools include:

Tool
Sapien
And Guerilla

To find these tools go to

C:/Program files/Microsoft Games/Halo Custom Edition

In there there are those tools I have said above

To run the tools like Guerilla or Sapien you can just create a shortcut to them

To run tool you need to find CMD on your computer and put it in your Halo CE root Directory

Then create a shortcut for it

Also you will be needing HEK+ to get .scenario files to mod if you would like

Search on the Halomaps page for this

And please read the .readme files that come with stuff

Thats the installation program to install HEK. Read the tuts that come with HEK.

You have to install the HEK and it will install the various programs you use and install teh HEK tutorial. See:

Uh.. no. You download the HEK then run the setup. (HEKSetup_1[1].00.exe)

OK... let me try this again. You go to this link http://hce.halomaps.org/index.cfm?fid=411 and download this file (HEKSetup_1[1].00.exe) once you down load it find it on our hard drive and double click it. HEKSetup_1[1].00.exe IS the setup program for the Halo HEK.

Well it has for the other 83,000 people who have downloaded it.
Have you installed Halo CE? The HEK will not install unless you have Halo CE installed.

In order to install the Halo CE (Custom Edition) game you MUST own a copy of the Halo PC Retail version of the game, have the Halo PC Retail version CDROM and the CD Product Key number which is printed on the yellow sticker labeled "Product Key". You MUST have the CDROM inserted into your CD Drive to install and run the game. If you do not have the physical CDROM and the correct CD Key you will not be able to install or run the game. Installing the Halo CE game will not affect or change your Halo PC Game they can both run on the same computer.

If you wish to join a server running a custom map you must have the map that the server is running already installed.

Seeing and comprehending are very different. one is apparently much harder for you than the other.

So let’s start at the beginning. Riddle me this:

1) Do you have the Halo PC retail game? The CDROM? and the Product Key on the back of the CD cover?

2) Have you installed Halo Custom Edition and been able to play the game?

OMFG U dont click on play when the installation for HEK is done. All it does is open up the tutorial. What HEK does is install 3 programs: Guerilla, Sapien, and Tool. Halo Editing Kit is a KIT not an actual program. So if you were to open up Search in the Start Menu, And u type in one of the programs: Guerilla, Sapien, or Tool; you will see that it is in the same folder as the Halo CE Root Directory is.
